As the project civil engineer, Infrastructure Engineering, Inc., provided schematic design, design development and construction documents, specifications, and construction administration services for the new 215,000 square foot Simeon Career Academy High School building. The new school is situated on a seven acre site, serves approximately 1,700 students and includes general education classrooms; science, physics, and language laboratories; computer laboratory and graphic design facilities; CADD laboratory; music, drama, and cosmetology departments; machine shop, welding shop, electrical shop, carpentry shop, and an auto service and body shop with a separate paint spray booth; culinary arts; health/nursing facilities with private practice rooms; ROTC facilities; two-story library with seminar hall; 600 seat auditorium with orchestra pit and stage; and a new cafeteria and kitchen.
