IEI Sponsors Annual Scholarships

Northwestern University

IEI sponsors a scholarship earmarked to assist disadvantaged minority students studying to be civil engineers at Northwestern University. Established in 2005, the scholarship is funded each year by a single contribution from IEI's president, Michael Sutton, who graduated from Northwestern University and received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

Chicago State University 

The firm also sponsors an annual scholarship at Chicago State University. The merit-based scholarship is awarded to a student in the business school who shows outstanding achievement and leadership. Mr. Sutton attended Chicago State University as a summer school student in his pursuit of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering at Northwestern University.
