O’Hare International Airport was voted the Best Airport in North America for the fifth year in a row by readers of the U.S. Edition of Business Traveler International. This honor reflects Chicago’s unyielding commitment to creating and maintaining a superior environment for the traveling public.

The O’Hare Modernization Program is an essential element for ensuring the airport remains the number one choice for business travelers in the future. The modernization program involves upgrades to the existing airfield systems, including the addition of one new runway and the relocation of three existing runways to reduce delays and improve operational safety and efficiency.

Infrastructure Engineering, Inc. is a subconsultant member of the BPC Aviation Partners Joint Venture Team selected to provide Master Civil Engineering Services for the O’Hare Modernization Program. Under an initial three-year contract, the team is responsible for conceptual engineering design, design review and coordination on civil engineering projects. IEI is providing Civil, IT and CADD support services for the project.

IEI’s airport design experience includes runway and roadway design projects for Midway and O’Hare; preliminary design for the planned O’Hare Terminal 6 and site development design for a new 155,575 square feet Ground Equipment Maintenance Building and a 1500 space parking lot for United Airlines.
