INGENUITY Experience: David Robbins, M.S. has decades of experience in aviation infrastructure, resiliency, sustainability, and energy management, having delivered major landside and airside projects for airports across Texas, Illinois, and Michigan. He has managed multimillion-dollar initiatives at Bush Intercontinental, Hobby International, and Chicago O’Hare, among others.In his current role, Robbins is focused on expanding IEI’s involvement in delivering aviation infrastructure, fostering alignment with existing clients, and leading the development of new opportunities within the sector.
Robbins previously served as Director of Infrastructure Resiliency at the Houston Airport System, where he led the first Airport Resilience Master Plan in the National Airspace System (NAS). During his 16-year tenure with the Chicago Department of Aviation, Robbins ascended to Assistant Commissioner, leading several key initiatives of the O’Hare Modernization Program.
Education: Robbins holds a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Technology from Eastern Michigan University, with dual concentrations in Aviation Management and Emergency Management.
Involvement in Community: Robbins is an active member of several civic and professional organizations, including the Rotary Club of Houston, City Club of Chicago, and Advanced Energy Group.
