Structural Project Manager

The Structural Project Manager is responsible for the successful completion and delivery of assigned bridge/structural engineering scope or projects. The position works closely with the Design Group Manager in serving as the primary contact with clients on bridge/structural projects. Additional responsibilities including leading the project delivery team, monitoring project delivery, coordinating with all disciplines (external and internal) and business development.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer’s License is required
  • Illinois Structural Engineering License is preferred or the ability to obtain
  • A minimum of 10 years of structural design experience
  • Completion of NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges course preferred
  • Bridge project experience with CDOT, IDOT and/or ISTHA is strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and managerial skills are required

Transportation Project Manager

The Transportation Project Manager is responsible for the successful completion and delivery of assigned projects and serves as the primary contact with clients.   • Illinois Professional Engineer’s License is required
  • A minimum of 8 years of transportation, roadway and traffic design experience is required

New York Office

Resident Engineer

The Resident Engineer is responsible for the successful completion of construction projects in New York and help establish a business construction division in our New York office. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Managing field personnel consisting of office engineer, inspectors, and community construction liaison.
  • Manage daily project activities including project budget, schedule, contract requirements and inspections.
  • Provide technical guidance and quality assurance.

This position requires extensive client interaction and coordination for all jobsite activities

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering or construction management
  • New York State Professional Engineer’s License is required
  • A minimum of 8 years of transportation construction inspection experience as a Resident Engineer
  • Experience with New York agencies specification and standards including NYCDDC, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDEP, and NYCTA is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills are required

Office Engineer

The Office Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Resident Engineer in the successful completion and delivery of construction projects. Additional responsibilities include document control for assigned contract including tracking and managing submittals and RFIs, preparation and processing of progress payments and change orders, coordination of contractors, and assist on schedule updates

This position requires extensive client interaction and coordination for all jobsite activities.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Qualified for ASCE Grade III, or NICET Grade IV
  • New York State Professional Engineer’s License is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of transportation construction inspection experience
  • Experience with New York agencies specification and standards including NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDEP, NYCTA, and NYCDDC is preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills are required

Senior Civil Engineer

The Senior Civil Engineer will lead tasks related to roadway design work including geometric design, drainage and grading. Additional responsibilities include attending project meetings with clients, preparing design calculations and reports. The Senior Civil Engineer will also support our growing backlog of design projects in New York, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Peoria. Experience and qualifications:

  • New York State Professional Engineer’s License is required
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in highway/roadway, side design and stormwater management
  • Must be knowledgeable of NYC and NYS agencies design standards and permit requirements; familiarity with NYSDEC SWPPP permitting process is preferred
  • Experience with New York agencies specification and standards including NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDEP, NYCDDC is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills are required
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate well with other engineering offices within the firm
  • A self-starter and the ability to complete task assignments with minimal supervision
  • Must be proficient with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, Inroads, Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA); Pondpak, Storm CAD, HydroFlo, or other drainage design software is a plus
  • Must have extensive experience in storm water management and drainage design

  •  Minimum of 5 years of full time relevant experience in highway/roadway, traffic and civil site engineering design
  • Experience with New York agencies specification and standards including NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDEP, NYCTA, NYS Thruway, and NYCDDC is preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills are required
  • A self-starter with the ability to complete task assignments with minimal supervision
  • Must be proficient with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation V8i, and/or Inroads
