Michael Sutton, PE

INGENUITY Experience. IEI President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Sutton is the team leader of Infrastructure Engineering Inc., which he purchased in 1997. He has gained extensive engineering experience on public and private projects of all sizes for local municipalities, federal agencies and foreign governments – leading IEI, working with professional consulting firms for 30 years and for the Illinois Department of Transportation for 10 years. He is past Director of the Illinois Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers, a founding member of the National Organization of Minority Engineers and a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies and other professional organizations.

Education. Michael is a graduate of Northwestern University where he earned his Civil Engineering degree.

Involvement in Community. Universal Agape, now the Infrastructure Engineering Foundation, was created by Michael to serve disadvantaged children and families. It’s just one of many civic organizations that he has actively supported.
