Cedar Street Extension Study

Cedar Street Extension Study

East of the Illinois River in East Peoria, IL, the Cedar Street Extension (Illinois Route 8/Illinois Route 116) crosses over the Peoria and Pekin Union (P&PU) Railroad and Illinois Route 29 via two bridges which were constructed in 1963.  The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) initiated a study of the bridges to determine if they should be removed and replaced or rehabilitated.

Infrastructure Engineering Inc. (IEI) provided Phase I and II engineering services including the preparation of a Project Report; Bridge Condition Report; intersection design studies; public involvement activities and contract plans; plans, specifications and estimate (PS&E) for the Cedar Street Extension structures and roadway approaches.
