IAA Economy Parking Lot Access Roads Rehabilitation and Reconstruction
The Indianapolis International Airport (IND) Economy Parking Lot houses approximately 25 sublots, 7,900 parking spaces. The 64-acre site was showing signs of extensive pavement distress. Much of the distress and rutting was located along the IND shuttle routes with a need for full depth patching. IEI was selected as the prime consultant, to provide project management and design services to rehabilitate the pavement, address drainage issues, improve shuttle stops, and maximize the number of spaces within the lot.
IEI worked closely with the team to perform survey and geotechnical services, followed by pavement design, permitting, contractor outreach, and bidding services. Design and construction are taking place over three phases, concurrently.
