IEI won a NY Silver award for its work on the I-355 Resurfacing and Bridge Repairs for Illinois Tollway. IEI’s role in the Veterans Memorial Tollway (I-355) Resurfacing and Bridge Repairs Project, I-55 to Army Trail Road, was to prepare contract plans and specifications along with obtaining project related permits for roadway resurfacing and facility rehabilitation. CREATE PI – Englewood Flyover was selected as the IL EMINENT CONCEPTOR Award winner. As part of the design team, Infrastructure Engineering, Inc. provided civil and structural engineering services to the project. IEI won a IL Merit award for its work on the Illinois Wood Street Phase I for the Illinois Department of Transportation. IEI’s scope of work included collecting traffic data, creating strip map exhibits, producing design alternatives, a location drainage study, crash analysis, traffic maintenance analysis, intersection design studies, and bridge condition reports for three structures. We’ve rung the bell to 10 years in Indianapolis! It was in January 2006 when we began our Indianapolis office with one staff member. As we celebrate today, we’ve grown to 18 staff members including engineers, inspectors and administrative support. The office works in varied engineering markets and has worked on significant projects throughout Indianapolis and the state of Indiana. As our continued way to show appreciation to our clients and partners, we hosted our annual Day at the Track on Fast Friday – May 20, 2016. It’s an exciting year at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as they are celebrating the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500. For the Fast Friday Event, drivers practiced for the 500 and garages were open to meet and greet with drivers. The Day at the Track gave us the chance to say “thank you” to all of those who support IEI.
As a continued effort to show thanks for the work of the IEI team, at our Companywide Quarterly on April 28, we honored those with extended service with the company. The 100 Black Men is a volunteer based organization, striving to improve the quality of life and enhance the educational opportunities of African-American males.
